Ethan Coen, Joel Coen
When a disc containing memoirs of a former CIA analyst falls into the hands of gym employees, Linda and Chad, they see a chance to make enough money for Linda to have life-changing cosmetic surgery. Predictably, events whirl out of control for the duo, and those in their orbit.
Brad Pitt’s iconic dance sequence in this film, which I based the poster on, is a great pop-culture moment, but the film itself is an excellent installment in the Coen Brothers’ arsenal which has largely been slept on. The characters, with all their signature quirks are memorable and funny, even when they are pathetic. Tonally, it hits exactly the kind of uneasy, almost cringy humour I enjoy in a film when done well.
I was quite pleased with this poster; it’s one my favourites from my early collection.
